Gary and I woke up to a thick coating of dew on everything, almost as if it had rained, although it hadn’t. I didn’t want to pack up a bunch of wet stuff, so I took my time getting ready so that the sun would come out and dry my stuff off. Eventually we got packed up and headed out. Most of the roads here were fairly straightforward dirt and gravel. There was one section that was marked as hard on the gps because of a muddy water crossing, but we made it through. We stopped at Buckaroo’s General Store in Adair, OK for gas and a breakfast biscuit, then got back on the road. When we made it to Copan, OK, we said our goodbyes and I broke off the trail and headed south to Tulsa where I stayed with some college friends.
