I tried to make some oatmeal for breakfast but my stove was acting up, so I wasted probably close to an hour taking it apart and messing with it, eventually replacing a couple of o-rings until I got it going.  I don’t think I left the park until about 10am.  In going to the park last night, I bypassed about 20 miles of trail, and decided that rather than backtrack, I’d just ride north and resume the trail.  Most of what I had been riding in was flat fields, so I didn’t figure I’d be missing much.  The ride for most of the day was surprisingly chilly.  I’m guessing 50s or 60s, but when you’re moving on a motorcycle it feels colder.  I ended up putting on my rain jacket to stay warm.  I stopped in Liberal, KS for a late lunch at like 3pm at a taqueria and got my computer out to update this blog.  I planned to camp at Cimarron National Grassland, and didn’t anticipate any cell service when I got there.  I went outside the taqueria to get back and my bike and make the final push to the campground and it started raining.  I guess the clouds I’d been seeing all day finally let loose.  I checked the weather radar and it showed rain storms for a good ways west, so I figured I should just get a motel for the night.  I headed over to Liberal Inn after reading a couple of reviews.
