I woke up all through the night, and every time it was still raining.  Luckily my tent never leaked.  I went to the restaurant/bar/RV park office area to get some wifi and check the weather.  It looked like it was going to rain all day.  I made an executive decision that I was going to stay put and not ride.  While I was checking some email and stuff, I heard a group of guys (Steve, Steve, Michael, and Joe) talking about their motorcycles, so I went over and introduced myself.  One of them was trying to install a mousse (piece of foam that replaces an inner tube) and wasn’t having much luck, so they were going to make a run up to a motorcycle shop in Gunnison.  I told them I was getting close to needing a tire as well, so they invited to come along.  So it was me and four of these 50-something year old guys taking a road trip to Gunnison.  I ended up finding a used tire for $20 bucks that looks in good shape but was had a little more aggressive tread than I would have normally bought.  I’m not sure how long it will last considering I have to do some paved roads now and then, but the price was right compared to the other tire I was looking at that was $145.  After we took care of that, we went and ate in Gunnison at the Miner’s Steakhouse where I bought two sandwiches and ate everything.  They were impressed.  Then we drove up to Crested Butte to look around.  Apparently there was some Bud Light promotion there a few days ago and they painted main street blue (http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2014/09/05/bud-light-turns-tiny-ski-town-into-whatever-usa/15172279/).  I didn’t quite get it.  We drove back to Gunnison and stopped for some Pizza, then headed back to the campground in Sargents.  These guys were great, super friendly and pretty hilarious.  They’ve all been friends since they were kids, and now they get together several times a year to ride their KTM’s.  I hope I can do something like that when I’m older.  I was zonked when we finally made it back to Sargents, so I pretty much just went to bed.   I had wanted to go use the wifi in the bar/café/store, but it was already closed.
